     Enugu is on the southeastern part of Nigeria and it is often regarded as the capital of the eastern Nigeria. Enugu is the sometimes called the Coal City State because of the plenty coal found beneath the ground. Enugu is not one of the states that have a lot of sky scrappers but it is a state of peace, harmony and safety.
     Enugu was created in the year 1991 from Anambra. The name Enugu was gotten form' enugwu' meaning, 'top of the mountain'. Since Enugu was created, a lot of development has been achieved by the government irrespective of the little revenue allocated to them. There are lot of fun things and fun places to go to in Enugu, if you are a party freak, or love night outings, Enugu is your home then. Also, if you are a nerd or a lover of books, Enugu welcomes you because it houses the biggest library in West Africa located in the best university in Nigeria and the 14th in Africa- University of Nigeria Nsukka ( UNN).
     Enugu has a lot of cultural heritage; they appreciate culture a lot. It has the one of the best masquerades in Nigeria. It is the home of palm wine in Nigeria because the Udi people of Enugu are specialties in that field.
     Have you tasted abacha? If you have not, come to Enugu and taste the scrumptious abacha of the people of Ezeagu in Enugu State. Oh! I made the mistake of spelling Abacha with a small letter 'a' that's very insulting because Abacha is so delicious that it deserves a lot of respect. I also accord my respects to Okpa ndi Nsukka. Okpa is a delicious food mainly used for breakfast in Enugu.

                                            AWHUM WATERFALL AND CAVE



Awhum Waterfall and Cave is a located in Amaugwe town of Awhum. It has a massive outcrop of granite rock which water flows from thereby causing a stream of water.



                                     EZEAGU TOURIST COMPLEX
   
This is located on the southern pan of Enugu State. It has a waterfall and a three kilometer cave. 


                                      ANI OZALLA LAKE
   
Ani Ozalla Lake is located in Ozalla in Nkanu LGA of Enugu. There, crocodiles often appear and is regarded as the goddesses of the lake.  

                                              UDI HILLS 

The Ugwueme and Udi Hills are hills about hundreds of meters above sea level. These hills are good for mountaineering and landscape admiration points. Underneath the Udi hills are the coal mines. There are also beautiful tunnels for tourist sites.
